...ah, please?
The fur was very easy to move in, it was able to adapt nicely to the wings whether they were collapsed or fully extended without any trouble! They did get a bit heavy after five hours or so; more so I found that it was a strain on my back than my arms themselves, plus wearing the quad boots added an extra level of discomfort. But they were so worth every little ache and pain! *O*
As for the changes I made, mostly it had to do with materials; I used steel galvanized wire instead of hangers for the feathers, and instead of cotton fabric, I used broadcloth twill and coated them in ModPodge, just for a bit of extra reinforcement. That ended up making them heavier than just cotton fabric would have, but it gave them the cartoony/Wind Waker aesthetic I was going for.
I would have been completely and utterly lost without you, though! I'd always dreamed of making Rito wings for my Medli cosplay but I didn't think it would be something I could ever do until I stumbled upon your tutorial - I saw it on my Pinterest feed, gasped in amazement, and then immediately ran to the craft store! So I can't begin to thank you enough for sharing your wing-making secrets!
(when I was younger, I wanted to cosplay her, but didn't think it was possible to do her justice. You have proven me wrong!)
