Holy canoli, time is flying by! It seriously feels like Youmacon was just last weekend! I miss all of my con friends so much, boo~! (We totally need to have a meet-up soon, I can't wait so long to see you all again! But more on that later.)

Anyways, I've started on my Summoner Yuna cosplay for ACEN '10! I'm actually insanely nervous about this costume because I want it to be absolutely perfect in every possible way. I bought the materials I'll need for the skirt yesterday afternoon, and I'm going to start pleating it today. (Gosh, I'm starting early, but I'll need all the time I can get on my ACEN line-up.)

Vanille. Oh, Vanille. I love that her beading isn't consistent between cutscenes - sort of like her hair color, too. And that string of beads around her ribs that's not connected to the front beading column or the harness in the back? Yeah, it just sort of floats there. Thank you, designers, really. Makes my life super easy!

I'm making progress on that front, slowly but surely. I've spent the past week squinting at references and drawing diagrams. It's sad to say that her weapon is probably going to be the easiest part of the costume, haha!

Also, I should probably get started on the uniforms for our Shuffle! group! I need to find a pattern that both Mallory and I can use, as we'll each be making half of the uniforms (splitting the work as evenly as we can). I'm really excited that we have all of the characters for this group, it'll be super fun!

This is completely tentative as far as the cosplays are concerned, but the cons are pretty much set in stone. Instead of listing individual costumes, though, I'll just list the series we're doing. If anyone wants specifics (or wants to join a group that isn't already full [full groups are indicated by *]), just ask!

Animarathon (March 27th): Shuffle!*
ACEN (May 14th-16th): Final Fantasy X, Final Fantasy XIII, Silent Hill, TWEWY
JAFAX (June 26t-27th): FFX or FFXIII, Gijinka Eevee Evolutions*
Summer Cosplays: Disney's Pixie Hollow, Digimon*
Youmacon (October 28th-31st): Wolf's Rain, Princess Tutu, Soul Eater, FFX or FFXIII

So many costumes. @_@~

{ Winter Meet-Up? }

Cosplay buddies, I think we should have a meet-up this winter! Not necessarily a ~*cosplay*~ meet-up, but just a chance to get together and hang out! We had that Bubble Tea meet-up in Ann Arbor last year, and that was so much fun!

If you're all in favor of this, what do you think we should do? Bubble Tea again? Or should we try somewhere different?

Basically I can't wait until March to see all of you again~!
